The idea for Unbound was born out of a desire to blur the boundaries between live and digital entertainment, bringing truly immersive, interactive storytelling into the home, and beyond.
Creative Director / Founder: Tom Syms
Tom is a producer, immersive theatre director, and LAMDA-trained performer. He has worked with many of the industry's leading immersive theatre makers including Secret Cinema, Les Enfant Terribles, and Hartshorn Hook. Since 2019 he has been the Head of Games at HiddenCity, leading the team in the development and execution of all new games. During the pandemic he co-created their play-at-home game Moriarty’s Game: A Killer in the Hive.
Creative Director / Founder: Jack Pirie
Jack is a writer, director and creative director for film, immersive theatre & large-scale interactive experiences. His film and TV work has been featured on Channel 4, National Geographic and MTV. In 2019 he was the writer/director of The War of the Worlds Immersive Experience, a multi-million pound live entertainment experience which won an international THEA award and is currently on a five year run in London.
CEO / Founder: Andy Barnes
Andy Barnes is the owner of the Entourage production agency who have managed the delivery of some the world’s best leading live immersive experiences. In the 8 years, Entourage has grown from a bootstrapped idea to a thriving SME with a turnover in 2019 of £1.3m. Since 2016 Entourage have been the production partner for leading immersive practitioners Secret Cinema, creating unforgettable worlds ranging from Moulin Rouge, Romeo+Juliet, Blade Runner and Stranger Things, welcoming over 500,000 ticket holders to their IP led experiences. He is also a founder & CTO of Event Safety Plan, a successful SAAS platform for creating and managing health & safety documentation.
